Out the Shadow_3rd mobility

From 4-12 October 2025, our partnership met in Taranto, Italy for the 3rd mobility of the Out the Shadow project, focused on the use of improvisation in Black Light Theatre.

During this training, youth workers and educators explored how improv, physical theatre, and visual storytelling can be combined to create safer and more inclusive spaces for young people. This mobility gave participants the chance to experiment with non-verbal expression, spontaneity, collaboration, and the creative use of light, shadow, and fluorescent puppets.

By working through Black Light Theatre, we discovered new ways to support self-expression and address social exclusion, especially for young people facing cultural, linguistic, or social barriers. It was an intense and inspiring week of learning, practice, and international exchange.

Step by step, we are building a methodology that uses theatre not only as an artistic tool, but also as a powerful educational approach for inclusion, empathy, and participation.
